I believe in the small moments in life being the most impactful. The way the sunlight hits your coffee on a slow Saturday morning with your love. The way the candles flicker as you share a night with close friends over a bottle of cheap wine.
Those are the moments that matter the most. The ones you’ll reach for when you’re old and grey to remember exactly how it felt. I want to give these moments back to you through photography. Because at the end of the day, one of the only things you’ll have left is photos of your wedding.
Hiring me to photograph your day allows you to feel the moments truly and deeply and not worry about anything but your partner and living in the moment. Your wedding day is about you two, and I'm there to capture those moments as if I weren't there. No posed shit, just you two showing up as humans and being documented genuinely.
I'm passionate about the earth, gardening while watching the bats come out at night, nurturing relationships, and making life buddies. I love slow weekend mornings with homemade coffee and a farmers market as our only plans.
You’ll literally always find me cracking up at my own jokes, or dreaming up a new business venture with my girls. I’ve driven through the night too many times to count, and genuinely live for the sweet memories with people who want to dream big and ask the big questions in life. From the beginning, communication with Madi was fun, warm, trustworthy and easy-going but professional. She provided information and advice for preparation in a way that felt digestible and never overwhelming. She considered details that never even occurred to me. She immediately sensed the vibe I wanted for our intimate wedding, and I felt her creative energy come through with very little direction from me. Madi and Tristan blended into our wedding day in a way that made me feel safe, seen and frankly — like a damn goddess. I am forever grateful for this immortal time capsule they have given us, which we hold with mortal hands.
She is a true professional and brings such a sense of cool collectedness with her that you immediately trust her process and vision. Her confidence, creative direction, support, and her overall energy throughout the day was more than we could have ever hoped for. She truly felt like an extension of our family and I couldn't imagine our day without her. We already can't wait to use her for photos in the future! 11/10
She not only wanted to really get to know us, but she did a great job of doing it. Through thoughtful communication (both over the phone, via text, and through the pre-wedding survey), she knew what we wanted picture wise, and found a way to capture, genuinely, who we are and what our love is. We did a few portrait style photos with both families after the reception-- and absolutely could've done more if we'd wanted to!-- and they're stunning, but where Madi shines is with the at-the-moment captures. Every time I look at the candid photos from getting ready, through the ceremony, and into the night, I am in awe. Thank you, Madi, for being so incredible to work with and for capturing everything in the most amazing way possible.
