badlands national park maternity session

Lexie + Sawyer are some of the truest humans you’ll have meet. If you’re lucky enough to cross paths with them, I promise you that you won’t regret it.

We drove to Badlands National Park with the truck packed with two dogs, four adults and a baby due within a month. We had the best chats, and spent the day eating bad gas station food. The morning before our shoot we drove around the park and surrounding areas to find the best spots and find the most magical lighting. Adventuring this beautiful park with some of our best friends is one of those memories we’ll never forget.

Fast forward to the day of the shoot and we were driving to the location we chose for the first photos, and we saw the prettiest patch of sunlight peeking through the hills. Until the sun dipped behind the hills we ran around laughing + dancing in the hills of South Dakota.
These two welcomed their perfect son into the world only weeks after this session, and we can’t encourage couples enough to get out there and experience new things. Baby on the way or not, you’ll never regret creating amazing memories with your partner.
