This summer I finally got to make my dreams a reality in Badlands National park. This was a shoot I was dreaming of for almost a year, and watching things fall into place so perfectly was so exciting. The vendors in the styled shoot all gave 100% and helped make this dream a reality!
For the styled shoot we decided to use rugs in our home and make our own vases out of thrift shop goods. We did this to make this session as sustainable as we could. It turned into the most beautiful boho styled elopement that I could dream of. And something that is totally feasible for a real couple to do on their elopement day. If you and your boo thang want to elope in the park you’ll want to fill out THIS form. It cost $100, and you can email the park to work out details on locations ect.
Having your wedding in a National Park is an amazing honor (in our opinion), and has a big responsibility! Making sure you treat Mother Nature with all the respect and love is important. As elopements gain in popularity, and more people want to get married in iconic locations, that’s going to be more people in once less visited spots. Making sure you bring out everything you brought into the park, and staying on designated trails is important to making sure our kids and grandchildren have access to these beautiful locations in the future. Especially as a photographer I feel this weight, knowing that the outdoors is my studio, and where I shoot, I want to do everything I can to make sure I don’t lose that right. Here’s to more beautiful sessions in the great outdoors my dude.
A special shout out to these amazing humans who made this possible!
